Permission
to Pause

A simple 5-minute practice for the woman who remembers the appointments, keeps the household running, supports everyone else, and somehow still expects herself to do more.

You do not need an hour. You do not need a perfect morning routine. You do not need to earn your rest.

For real life Use it anytime When you feel overwhelmed, stretched thin, or like you are running on autopilot.
Gentle pace One minute at a time Move through five short prompts designed to help you notice, soften, and choose one next step.
No pressure No perfect answers Simply noticing is enough. Your body is allowed to speak softly before it has to shout.

Step One · Pause & Notice

Pause before the next thing.

Before reaching for your phone, your to-do list, or the next task, notice what is here.

There are no right answers. Simply noticing is enough.

Step Two · Check In With Your Body

Where are you holding tension?

Take a slow look inward. You do not need to change anything. Just notice it.

Awareness is the first step toward release.

Step Three · Release the Stress Signal

Choose one small release.

Small movements can send a message to your nervous system that you are safe enough to soften.

Pick the option that feels easiest today. The smallest doable thing counts.

Step Four · Ask Yourself This Question

What would support you today?

Place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly. Ask yourself what would support you today.

Trust the first answer that comes.

Step Five · Choose One Thing

Choose one thing for yourself.

Overwhelm often tells us we need to do everything. Instead, ask: what is one thing I can do for myself today?

Just one. Write it down. Then make a commitment to yourself to follow through.

That is enough
for today.

You were never meant to carry everything alone. Five minutes. One pause. One breath. One choice to come back to yourself.

Remember

The goal is not to become less busy overnight.

The goal is to notice yourself before your body has to get louder. Your body is often speaking long before burnout, exhaustion, or overwhelm move in. The more you listen, the less it has to shout.
